This evening I had the pleasure of meeting Ukraine Ambassador to the UK Vadym Prystaiko to be briefed on the current situation in Ukraine and to listen to the concerns of the Ukrainian people. We will continue to do all we can to help
I was joined at the Ukraine Embassy by my friend Alexander Temerko. Alexander is a Ukrainian-born British businessman who still has family living in Ukraine. I was devastated to hear stories of his family members losing their lives in this needless war.
Alexander’s family experience gave a personal take on the briefing given by Vadym Prystaiko. Alexander has long been a critic of Putin even though this caused considerable personal risk. I was fascinated to hear his insight into what is happening in his homeland of Ukraine.
