David Morris MP has welcomed the announcement by Secretary of State Liz Truss MP that the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks are to be extended. This move will see the largest area of National Park in England created in August 2016.
David Morris Member of Parliament for Morecambe and Lunesdale said:
‘I am pleased that this announcement has finally been made. I know many of my constituents in the Upper Lune Valley have been campaigning for this for a number of years and finally after asking many Parliamentary questions on the progress of the announcement the decision has been made in their favour. The new National Park Land will encompass everything to the East of Cowan Bridge, which includes villages Leck and Ireby’
