David Morris MP yesterday encouraged Syria’s President Assad to sit down and talk. Speaking on Cyprus National Radio (CYBC) David said:
“I implore the regime to sit down and talk.”
Adding:
“ I’m all for sitting around a table and talking, I always think that when you go to conflict it’s when diplomacy has broken down. “
David has an interest in the region after notably accompanying a group of Heysham High School pupils to Downing Street to deliver a petition last year about Syria. The petition was also presented by David to Parliament on the pupil’s behalf.
Along with other MP’s, David has returned to Parliament ahead of today’s debate and vote on the Syrian crisis. The full interview can be heard here: http://www.cybc.com.cy/en/index.php/round-about/item/3302-uk-parliament-recalled-for-vote-on-action-against-syria
