David Morris MP has today welcomed news that the Government has given £10 Million to renew flood defences in Morecambe.
The money is part of a series of measures which includes £71,000 from central Government to reduce the risk of 1130 homes against flooding. Also the Government has given Lancaster City Council £35,000 to report on where future investment is needed to protect homes and businesses from flooding.”

“I welcome the news that the Government has given £10 Million to strengthen the sea defences and that more generally, £69 Million has been given to the North West to improve flood defences."
“As a result of my debate on protecting Sunderland Point, red tape has been removed and the residents of Sunderland Point have been able to install coastal protection.”
