Morecambe Bay Primary School have been shortlisted for the coveted ‘Healthy School of the Year’ award in the Times Education Supplement (TES) awards. Morecambe Bay Primary School have made the shortlist in the National Awards along with 8 other schools.
During a launch event for the awards in Parliament today David Morris MP attended to congratulate the school on being one of the healthiest in the Country.
Speaking after the event David Morris MP said:
‘I am delighted that Morecambe Bay Primary School is shortlisted for the Healthiest School of the year award, and note it is already the Healthiest School in Lancashire as part of the shortlist.
Children’s welfare is extremely important and it is fantastic that one of our Schools locally is one of the healthiest in the Country. Congratulations to all at the School on this accolade and fingers crossed for the 22nd June when the main award is decided.’
